The Election Assistance Commission (EAC) is offering the Help America Vote College Program Poll Worker Grant, designed to significantly enhance election administration by engaging the next generation of civic leaders. This initiative specifically aims to recruit, train, and deploy college students as essential poll workers, providing crucial support during elections. The program seeks to address the nationwide need for dedicated poll workers while fostering a deeper understanding of the democratic process among young adults. Successful grantees will implement robust strategies to encourage student participation, ensuring they are well-prepared to assist voters and manage polling place operations effectively. Applicants are encouraged to review all detailed requirements on the EAC’s resources and Grants.gov. The application period concludes on December 18, 2023.
