This grant is for the English Language Teacher Exchange program, designed to significantly enhance the professional skills of approximately 50 Pakistani English language teachers from underserved government or foundation schools. The program aims to promote the development of participants’ English language proficiency, classroom pedagogy, community engagement, and leadership skills through direct experience and networking with US teaching peers. Participants will develop critical classroom, leadership, communication, and teacher-trainer skills via teamwork activities. Beyond strengthening their ability to implement effective English language programs in Pakistan, this exchange will provide a deeper understanding of the United States, its people, and democratic values. Ultimately, it seeks to improve teaching expertise and foster cross-cultural understanding.
