The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Research and Development (ORD), National Center for Environmental Research (NCER), in cooperation with the EPA Clean Air Research Program, is offering this extramural funding competition. This grant is for supporting research to improve understanding of the formation of organic compounds and their climatically relevant properties. The EPA is particularly interested in studies that will enhance knowledge of the linkages between gas phase chemistry and secondary organic aerosol formation, as well as the interaction of anthropogenic and biogenic emissions. Additionally, this solicitation includes an opportunity for early career projects, specifically designed to fund research smaller in scope and budget by early career Principal Investigators, fostering new talent in this critical area.
