Description: The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announces the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 CMVOST grant program Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to solicit applications from organizations that provide CMV operator training, including accredited public or private colleges, universities, vocational-technical schools, post-secondary educational institutions, truck driver training schools, associations, and State and local governments, including Federally-recognized Native American Tribal governments that support CMVOST activities.The CMVOST grant is a nationwide Federal financial assistance program intended to reduce the severity and number of crashes on U.S. roads involving CMV by training operators and future operators in the safe use of such vehicles.
