FIC is offering this grant to establish up to four support centers dedicated to fostering global health research education and experience programs. This grant aims to provide focused mentoring and diverse educational opportunities for post-doctoral researchers and doctoral students from the U.S. and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) at established research sites within LMICs. The program is designed to enhance participants’ global health research career trajectories, strengthen global health initiatives at U.S. academic institutions, and sustain research capabilities in LMIC institutions. Ultimately, it seeks to fortify global health research networks among alumni and mentors across participating institutions in the U.S. and LMICs, thereby advancing global health science collaboratively.
