Description: | This is a notice of intent to award three single source cooperative agreements without competition under justification 505DM 2.14.B04 in the total approximate amount of $160,000.00. The three single source award are as follows:
1) State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, in the approximate amount of $95,000 to maintain existing captive populations of Chittenango ovate amber snails at the College and Rosamond Gifford Zoo. 2) State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, in the approximate amount of $35,000, to continue the American hartâ¿¿s tongue fern propagation program for New York and Michigan populations. 3) New York State Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation, in the approximate amount of #30,000 to monitor and manage piping plovers on the shore of Lake Ontario (NY). Competition for these awards is not practical as these recipients are uniquely qualified to perform the activities of the project based on a variety of factors. The selected recipients have been chosen for meeting the following merit requirements: possession of qualifications sufficient to conduct the proposed activities or ability to obtain them; experience conducting this type of work; adequate resources to carry out the proposed activities or ability to procure them; understanding of project goals to implement the work in a manner that achieves service goals; and a track record of adequately completing projects and providing reports in a timely manner. |
