| Description: | GBI in an effort to continue the NPSâ¿¿s longstanding effort for public service, youth employment, minority youth development and training, and the participation of young adults in accomplishing conservation work. This involvement of youth and young adults in natural resource projects implementation stimulates the public purpose of resource conservation and training of early career professionals.
This Task Agreement will provide early career professionals with educational opportunities to learn about the environment and conservation project implementation. The early career professionals will participate in a variety of resource management field projects, including, but not limited to the reconstruction of trails, decommissioning and rehabilitation of abandoned road and off-road vehicle (ORV) disturbance; assessing, repairing, and constructing ORV barrier and ungulate management fences; native plant salvage and seed collection; native plant propagation and outplanting; and removing exotic invasive plants from rare plant and vector locations. |
