This grant is for the purpose of supporting the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program, which aims to develop comprehensive local strategies. These strategies are designed to effectively coordinate the use of assistance provided under the HCV program with various public and private resources. The core objective is to enable families participating in the program to substantially increase their earned income and improve their financial literacy. By fostering these crucial skills, the grant seeks to reduce or entirely eliminate their dependence on welfare assistance, guiding them towards significant progress in achieving long-term economic independence and self-sufficiency. This initiative empowers families to build a more secure financial future.
