HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) is offering the Autism Longitudinal Data Project (ALDP) grant. This grant is for supporting research that leverages existing longitudinal data resources to comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of early interventions. The primary purpose is to enhance our understanding of the early life origins, key signs, indicators, and associated comorbidities of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental Disabilities (DD). The ALDP specifically seeks studies that build on current knowledge by exploring genetic and environmental maternal/perinatal factors, physical and behavioral trajectories of ASD/DD throughout the life course, and strategies for primary prevention. Furthermore, it supports studying the effects of various ASD/DD interventions using observational and secondary data, ultimately promoting greater national awareness through the dissemination of critical research findings.
