The Humanities Department offers Faculty Research Awards to support advanced research beneficial to scholars and the public in the humanities. This grant is intended for faculty members at Historically Black and Tribal Colleges and Universities as well as Institutions with High Hispanic Enrollment. Recipients undertake projects such as articles, books, digital materials, translations, and archaeological site reports. The awards provide funding equivalent to six to twelve months of full-time work. Not eligible for curricular methods, textbook preparation, or works promoting specific viewpoints or social actions. Creative arts projects are also excluded. Application deadline: May 05, 2008.
