Additional Information

Agency Name: Fish and Wildlife Service
Description: The Illinois DNR will participate on the Great Lakes Enforcement Task Force in coordination with the States of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. The recipient intends to work with partner agencies to effectively and efficiently
investigate and enforce State and Federal wildlife laws. These actions will help conserve and protect aquatic species native to the area, not only for their benefit
but also for the general public good to be derived from such conservation. The USFWS, Office of Law Enforcement will be responsible for leading the task force, to include gathering intelligence, preparing reports, identifying targets and leading the investigative work of the team.

Substantial involvement on the part of the USFWS is anticipated for the successful completion of the activities to be funded. In particular, the USFWS Office of Law Enforcement will be responsible for the following: leading the work of the Great Lakes Task Force in an effort to work with investigative partners to investigate and enforce all wildlife laws that are being violated. The State of Illinois will be a working partner in an effort to share intelligence, provide manpower, equipment, and investigative expertise.
