Additional Information

Agency Name: Bureau of International Narcotics-Law Enforcement
Description: This project calls for a team of highly experienced law enforcement trainers (ideally four or three subject matter experts) to be deployed to the Central African Republic to train a substantial cohort (67 percent or more) of CAR law enforcement. INL envisions a two-phase project: training and mentoring. The team will conduct training of units, and then about six to eight (6-8) weeks after the training sessions, team members shall begin mentoring the units trained to reinforce acquired skills, install a continuous training program, and evaluate and measure the impact of training. INL has set aside FY 2017 International Narcotics Control and Law Enforcement (INCLE) funds to develop and implement a comprehensive and integrated training program for CAR’s law enforcement forces, including National Police, Gendarmerie, Judicial Police, Mining Police, and Municipal Police on a broad range of law enforcement topics. Upon request, and as the team is able, training may be provided to other specialized and operational units.
