The Innovation and Organizational Sciences (IOS) program offers this grant to support scientific research advancing fundamental understanding of organizational phenomena. It fosters theoretical, generalizable inquiries into innovation, organizational effectiveness, competitiveness, dynamics, and evolution across analysis levels. Proposals from diverse intellectual perspectives and a broad range of qualitative/quantitative methods are encouraged. It seeks studies relevant to real-world problems that deepen scientific knowledge of how organizations function and innovate. This grant strictly funds foundational research, not the implementation or evaluation of specific organizational programs, emphasizing advancing generalizable knowledge.
