The Integrated Pest Management Department is offering this grant to establish Regional Integrated Pest Management Centers (IPM Centers). This grant is for improving the cost-benefit analysis of adopting IPM practices and significantly reducing the associated environmental and human health risks from pest management. The IPM Centers will foster inter-state and inter-disciplinary collaboration, serving as crucial hubs for regional pest management information, collaborative initiatives, and broad stakeholder engagement. The primary purpose is to enhance coordination in IPM research, education, and extension efforts. Ultimately, this grant aims to boost responsiveness to critical pest management and global food security challenges, leading to more sustainable and safer pest control methods.
