Regulatory Administration and Enforcement grants assist States with the cost of operating their approved regulatory program. Funded cooperative agreements provide States with approved regulatory programs to regulate coal mining activities on Federal lands. Regulatory program development grants may be awarded to States and Tribes with active coal mining but without approved regulatory programs.
