Additional Information on Eligibility: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS- The City of Yankton (COY) owns and administers this property and has established primitive trails and limited sign-age already on this property, the COY has committed the following and resources to the improvement as part of this Challenge cost share project. They include a fish cleaning station, floating dock, restroom, trail amenities and experience that currently is not available.- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS

Description: This project is to connect the trails between the NPS and City of Yankton’s property; at the end of the Meridian Bridge, a walking bridge over the Missouri River. At the end of the walking bridge is where an ADA accessible pedestrian ramp and ungraded trail system will be constructed to provide a safe and accessible path for visitors to utilize these nature areas.

-The National Park Service staff at the MNRR will be involved through ramp and trail planning, layout and goals. NPS staff will provide cultural / environmental programs to the team members including park tours, educational programs, talks on the history of the park, and other similar programs in a variety of media. MNRR will provide the services of a Project coordinator to serve as liaison to the recipient for the work under this agreement. MNRR will also guide the design and manufacturing of signage and wayside interpretive exhibits.
