TheNational Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Science MissionDirectorate (SMD) announces the release of its annual NASA ResearchAnnouncement (NRA), Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES)– 2018. ROSES is an omnibus NRA, with many individual program elements, eachwith its own due dates and topics. All together these cover the wide range ofbasic and applied supporting research and technology in space and Earthsciences supported by SMD. Awards will be made as grants, cooperativeagreements, contracts, and inter- or intra-agency transfers, depending on thenature of the work proposed, the proposing organization, and/or programrequirements. The typical period of performance for an award is three years, but some programs may allow up to five years and others specify shorterperiods.
