Description:: This National Cancer Institute (NCI) limited competition Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) solicits the renewal application for the Chernobyl Tissue Bank (CTB) Coordinating Center. The CTB is a collaborative project that is supported by the NCI and other international partners and involves active participation of countries heavily affected by the Chernobyl nuclear accident. The mission of the CTB is to maintain a research resource that supports current and future studies on the biology of thyroid cancer, a major health consequence of the Chernobyl accident. The CTB Coordinating Center is a critical component that serves these goals.
