Federal agencies may participate inthe execution of projects; they will receive money through other methods as appropriate and notthrough federal financial assistance (i.e. the host cooperative agreement).

Description: This program was created to ensure that the National Climate Change andWildlife Science Center is responsive to the research and managementneeds of Federal and State agencies to provide science and technicalsupport regarding the impacts of climate change in fish, wildlife, plants andecological processes. National coordination of research and modeling atregional centers will ensure uniformity of downscaling and forecastingmodels and standardized information to support management of fish andwildlife resources and regional partnership collaborations. The ClimateScience Centers will provide access to the expertise at cooperatinguniversities and supports the mission of the Climate Science CenterProgram.
