National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Data Resources Program Grant: Funding for Existing Criminal Justice Data Analysis
The National Institute of Justice (NIJ), in collaboration with the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), is offering the Data Resources Program (DRP) grant. This grant is for supporting original research that utilizes existing data. Proposals are sought for projects analyzing data available through the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD) and other public sources. NACJD houses a wealth of quantitative and qualitative data from research previously funded by these agencies. The data, along with necessary documentation, is made readily available as downloadable, machine-readable files to facilitate comprehensive analysis. NACJD is maintained by the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research at the University of Michigan and is jointly supported by NIJ, BJS, and OJJDP, ensuring a robust resource for researchers.
