| Description: |
The NIST SBIR TABA program will provide support to NIST SBIR Phase I and Phase II awardees. It should be noted that the NIST SBIR awardees have the option to not participate in this assistance effort that is made available to them and may select to utilize similar support from an organization other than the TABA recipient under this program. In the event that a NIST SBIR awardee opts not to participate in this program, the TABA recipient is not expected to provide services to that NIST SBIR awardee. The TABA recipient will be awarded $6,500 for each of the NIST SBIR Phase I and/or Phase II awardee that participates in the TABA program, up to an estimated 12 Phase I and/or Phase II awardees. The TABA recipient will provide those NIST SBIR Phase I and/or Phase II awardees with technical and business expertise and resources to identify optimum pathways to promote successful transition of the Phase I and/or Phase II results to commercialization.
Through this program, the TABA recipient will engage with NIST SBIR Phase I and Phase II awardees in technical and business development activities such as: making better technical and business decisions concerning SBIR projects; solving technical and business problems that arise during the conduct of SBIR projects; minimizing technical and business risks associated with SBIR projects; and developing and commercializing new commercial products and processes resulting from the SBIR projects.
