Description: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites Cooperative Agreement (U10) applications for implementation of investigator-initiated randomized controlled clinical trials on alcohols effects on neurological diseases, most especially stroke, and the health issues that are associated with aging. Applicants for the U10 Clinical Trial Implementation Cooperative Agreement must be able to begin the trial without further planning activities when the U10 is awarded. Therefore, investigators who have already completed planning activities through an NIAAA-funded U34 clinical trial planning grant are expected to apply.
