The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is offering this cooperative agreement (U10) grant to support participation in the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN). This grant is for established clinical investigators to join a nation-wide partnership involving addiction treatment providers, researchers, and NIDA staff. The primary purpose of the CTN is to test, validate, refine, and deliver effective, efficient treatments for addiction, facilitating their adoption by community-level clinical practices throughout the Nation. This initiative fosters translational research, enabling cooperative development of new treatment options for patients. NIDA anticipates awarding approximately $13.5 million in total costs in FY2010, funding up to 12 applications for this critical endeavor.
