The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is offering the R03 Behavioral and Integrative Treatment Development Grant. This grant encourages early career investigators or those transitioning research fields to propose discrete, well-defined projects. Projects should be completable within two years with limited resources. The primary focus is on behavioral, combined, sequential, or integrated drug abuse treatment interventions. This includes interventions for patients with comorbidities in diverse settings, strategies to prevent HIV infection among those in drug abuse treatment, promoting adherence to addiction and HIV medications, and treating chronic pain. Suitable projects range from pilot and feasibility studies to secondary data analysis, small research projects, and the development of new assessments, methodologies, or research technology. This initiative uses the NIH Small Research Grant (R03) mechanism.
