The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is offering the Research Conference Grant (R13) to foster the development of interdisciplinary research teams. This grant is specifically for organizations proposing to hold scientific meetings aimed at forming collaborations between investigators, particularly from the social and/or behavioral sciences, and potentially including the life and/or physical sciences. The primary purpose is to broaden the scope of scientific investigations, generate fresh insights, and enhance theoretical and methodological approaches by integrating diverse disciplinary strengths. These meetings will lay the foundation for developing innovative interdisciplinary research projects, addressing gaps in terminology and methodology across various scientific fields.
