The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is offering the Fiscal Year 2025 Pacific Islands Region Marine Education and Training (MET) Mini-Grant Program. This competitive grant is designed to enhance communication, education, and training on crucial marine resource issues across the Pacific Islands region. A key objective is to significantly increase scientific education for marine-related professions among coastal community residents. The program specifically encourages participation from indigenous Pacific islanders, Native Hawaiians, and other underserved communities, aiming to build local capacity and engagement in marine stewardship and scientific careers. Projects should focus on developing and implementing initiatives that address these educational and professional development needs within the specified communities.
