This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Services intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition. ABSTRACT Recipient Golden Gate NATIONAL PARKS CONSERVANCY OVERVIEW On October 24, 1997, Cooperative Agreement No. 1443CA8140-98-001 (Master Agreement) was entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the (GGNPC). Project Objectives and Descriptions: The primary objective of this project is for the GGNPC and GGNRA to collaborate to plan for a new multi-use trail connection from Vista Point to Fort Baker. This route will use an unpaved former military road that has been closed to public use. GGNPC will support work being carried out by GGNRA, the Denver Service Center (DSC) NPS staff, and a contractor procured by DSC. GGNPC will work with GGNRA staff to develop scopes of work and obtain GGNRA concurrence for work that would be done by contracted assistance. Specific collaborative tasks include but are not limited to the following: A. GGNPC agrees to: 4. Complete a wayfinding /directional signage plan for the route. B. GGNRA agrees to: 4. Manage all compliance and public review processes required pursuant to statute, regulation, and National Park Service or GGNRA policy and guidelines, including public meetings, comment, and consultation with appropriate organizations. 1. Create a cooperative partnership to maximize the benefits from the project accomplished by both organizations. 2. In partnership plan, design, and engage the community through the coordination of a professional project managers team. 3. Consult and obtain agreement on detailed scope of work to complete tasks in Article III. |
