Description: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement.


Twelve-person conservation corps will accomplish deferred maintenance projects, including trail work, on the Boston Harbor Islands and at sites in Charlestown Navy Yard (Boston National Historical Park). Work includes:

– window glazing and repairs
– restoration of flooring in the historic Commandant’s House (CNY)
– paint historic fence
– open viewsheds to the USS Constitution
– repair deteriorated benches
– rehabilitate/stabilize  historic structures on Peddocks Island
– replace decorative finishes
– paint building interiors
– repair and replace historic windows
– re-establish deteriorated turf (cultural landscape maintenance)
– replace deteriorated fencing (design, build, install)
– clear island trails
