Nine Interns will conduct resource stewardship and visitor service activities to improve recreational use of and access to seashore lands. These internship positions focus directly on conservation and stewardship of a diverse array of Assateague Island National Seashore resources and visitor services. Interns will provide field support to park activities in the following areas: providing site orientation and safety information to park visitors, enhancing public beach access by actively managing public use closures, conducting wildlife conservation and management activities, and enhancing recreational hunting and fishing by restoring disturbed habitats. |
