Collaborate with NPS project team to fully develop a statement of work based on articles I and III of this agreement. 2. Engage an appropriate scholar to conduct research and produce an historic resource study in accordance with Secretary of the Interior’s standards for professional historians, outlined in NPS-28: Cultural Resource Management Guidelines, Appendix E. 3. Conduct research and produce a technically and legally defensible historic resource study that meets project scholarly objectives and goals, meets NPS standards for a “thorough investigation” as defined in NPS-28: Cultural Resource Management Guidelines, Chapter 2 for an historical study, and conforms to NPS standards for Historic Resource Studies as defined in NPS-28: Cultural Resource Management Guidelines, Chapter 2. 4. Develop an interpretive product in collaboration with the NPS which packages findings of this study for public consumption., 5. Ensure that all draft and final deliverables are complete documents, as specified, that meet the standards of scholarship as defined by the guidelines of the Organization of American Historians, are formatted according to NPS graphic identity standards and the most recent edition of the Chicago Manual of Style, and produced as a .pdf document suitable for digital publication and compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. 6. Coordinate with NPS as necessary to complete the work as and when required. This will include participating in conference calls and product review meetings. 7. Submit quarterly written financial reports per the specifications outlined in Article IX of Master Cooperative Agreement P15AC00289 and according to Article IX of this agreement. 8. Submit semi-annual written progress reports according to Article IX of this agreement. 9. Make the final report available to its membership, as well as the public more broadly, and promote the report within its professional networks so as to make the report as widely available as possible to scholars of American History, so that those scholars and teachers may use the report’s findings in their teaching and writing, to the benefit of not only the scholarly community but students at many levels. |
