The National Park Service (NPS) is offering the History of Equal Rights (HER) Grant Program, administered through the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF). This grant is for the crucial purpose of preserving sites intrinsically linked to the struggle of all Americans to achieve equal rights throughout history. The program aims to fund a broad spectrum of preservation projects for these significant historic sites. Eligible activities encompass essential architectural services, comprehensive historic structure reports, strategic preservation plans, and direct physical preservation work on structures. Grants are awarded via a competitive process, and importantly, they do not require any non-Federal match, making them highly accessible. This NPS initiative underscores a commitment to protecting America’s diverse heritage of equality.
