Description:

This announcement is to provide public notice of the NPS’s intentions to award financial assistance for the following project activities without competition.  This is a continuation of cooperative agreement P17AC01135 to add additional funding with University of Wyoming. The goals and objectives in general order of importance are: (1) Assess and document the distribution of Pseudogymnoascus destructans Pd and disease status of bats in Northern Great Plains Network (NGPN) (2) Develop species lists of bats in NGPN parks from mist net captures (3) Collect demographic information on captured bats in NGPN parks (4) Develop a catalog of acoustic calls from NGPN parks for testing and calibration of acoustic monitoring (5) Continue long-term acoustic monitoring at NGPN parks initiated in 2015 (6) Provide parks critical and current information for education and outreach efforts. The scientific community and/or researchers external to NPS gains by new knowledge provided through research and related results dissemination of natural, cultural and/or historical resource information.
