Additional Information on Eligibility: The United States Department of the Interior, The National Park Service (NPS), and Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site is announcing a notice of intent to award a cooperative agreement; this is NOT a request for applications. This funding opportunity is to provide public notice of NPS’s intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition, under Cooperative Agreement P15AC00015 with American Conservation Experience, for a project titled; Museum Collection to Exhibit

Description: Interns are needed to assist the curator at the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site (CARL) in returning the museum collection to permanent exhibit in the historic house museum. The collection was removed for its protection in 2015 while preservation work was performed on the house. The museum collection is the primary interpretive resource at CARL and is integral to the parkâ¿¿s mission of preserving the legacy of Sandburg. All work will be done in accordance with the National Park Service (NPS) Museum Handbook and Conserve-O-Grams, NPS Directorâ¿¿s Orders #19, #24, and #28, NPS Regulations and policies, legislative history, and established museum standards and procedures.
