| Description: | THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award financial assistance for the following project activities without competition. he purpose of this master agreement, in recognition of an ongoing partnership between the JRA and the NPS Chesapeake, is to facilitate cooperation and collaboration in connecting people to the natural and cultural heritage of the James River and Chesapeake region through efforts to implement the 2014 Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement, E.O.13508 for Chesapeake Bay Watershed Protection and Restoration, and The Chesapeake Bay Initiative Act of 1998. The NPS Chesapeake and the JRA collaborate to engage diverse audiences in public educational, recreational and stewardship opportunities along the James River in support of both organizations mission objectives. It will enhance public access, recreational & educational programs on the James River in Virginia and all activities pursuant to it will be individually authorized by separate NPS task agreements, with each project or activity having a separate statement of work and budget developed cooperatively between the NPS and Recipient. |
