Description: | This action is a single source award to CyArk, a project of the Kacyra Family Foundation. This synopsis serves as an intent to award on a non-competitive basis. The National Park Service, Mount Rushmore National Monument intends to award a cooperative agreement with CyArk for a period of five years to assist the park in establishing a relationship to cooperate and share lessons learned in the preservation of natural, cultural, and heritage assets as a result of technology unique to CyArk. The collaboration will serve as a model to other National Park Service units, or other entities, for using innovative and emerging technology that will result in a long term and forward thinking approach to resource management. This relationship will create virtual learning opportunities through web based applications for research, education and interpretation. CyArk is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as location, property ownership, voluntary support capacity, cost-sharing ability, if applicable, technical expertise, or other such unique qualifications. CyArk is the only organization that provides this comprehensive method for Digital Preservation and is uniquely qualified to partner with MORU to publicly disseminate, educate, and protect and preserve public heritage assets for generations to come. Additionally, CyArk is the only organization with distinctive capabilities for archiving this type of information. CyArk also has an extensive network of partners that can provide additional expertise in the areas of digital documentation, 3D modeling, archiving, dissemination, education, and preservation, as well as other resources unique to this project. |
