Additional Information

Agency Name: National Park Service
Description: The objective of this Task Agreement is to collaborate on both biological monitoring and reviews and evaluations of physical process issues throughout the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA). The GGNRA and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy (Parks Conservancy) have a substantial history of collaboration to conduct monitoring and evaluations of both biological resources and physical science issues in the park. Both parties also have an extensive history of collaborating to provide natural resource data generated through monitoring for public educational uses.

The Parks Conservancy is uniquely qualified to collaborate on biological monitoring and physical resource review and protection due to their past involvement, their ability and prior success in making appropriate data available for public educational purposes, and the on-going joint project development of numerous NPS and Parks Conservancy projects needing review of physical science issues.

By partnering with the Parks Conservancy, GGNRA is provided with unique resources, including support from staff with knowledge of and experience with biological monitoring and preparing natural resource data for public educational use. This knowledge and experience base will allow this project to be completed efficiently and successfully.
