This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Serviceâ¿¿s intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement.

As GGNRAâ¿¿s non-profit support partner, the GGNPC is asked to assist NPS staff in the development of the Alcatraz Ferry Embarkation facility, including assistance with environmental planning, schematic design, and special technical studies. The ongoing NPS Alcatraz Ferry Embarkation Plan/EIS will determine the long-term location for ferry service between San Francisco and Alcatraz Island, which serves approximately 1.5 million visitors each year and is one of the most popular visitor destinations in the United States. GGNPC staff has been involved in aspects of facility planning since 2009 and is expected to have a long-term presence at the future facility.
