Description:: Based upon the availability of appropriated funding for FY 13, the National Park Service intends to solicit, evaluate, and award funding to local municipalities and townships within the recreational area of Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CUVA) in Breacksville, Ohio. The intent of the projects is to share the cost of rehabilitating local roadways which serve park visitors and commuters. Proposals demonstrating cost share are highly encouraged. CUVA estimates that from three to five projects will be funded. At a minimum, projects are expected to be funded $5,000, an average of $30,000 with a total award ceiling expected to be no more than $150,000. To be eligibiy for the potential funding, the recipient must be meet all of the following conditions 1) Municipal or Township Roads – the road section must be the responsibility of the municipality or township; 2) Service to NPS facility – the road must provide direct or indirect service to a fedral facility within the CUVA; 3) Long-term Improvement – the project musts provide a long-term improvement, such as substantial rehabilitation or repair, rather than the types of projects which normally would be undertaken on a frequent routine basis.
