The US Department of Interior, National Park Service, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks (SEKI) is offering an agreement for significant trail maintenance and associated wildlands restoration. This grant is for providing work through the California Conservation Corps (CCC) to improve and reconstruct critical trails within SEKI. Specific projects include universal access enhancements for the Zumwalt Meadow Trail, reconstruction of failed trail structures in the Cedar Grove and Grant Grove front country areas, and rebuilding the East Lake Trail. A major focus is also the reconstruction of an 8-mile segment of the John Muir/Pacific Crest Trail. Additionally, annual trail clearing, drainage maintenance, and brushing will be conducted.
