This funding opportunity is to provide public notice of NPS’s intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition to Conservation Corp North Bay (CCNB), to collaboratively work with the NPS and continue the long term partnership that promotes natural and cultural resource stewardship, outreach, and education. The applicant is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as location (CCNB is located within Marin County), property ownership, voluntary support capacity, cost-sharing ability if applicable, technical expertise, or other such unique qualifications. Additionally, CCNB is a long-term key partner in trail maintenance with local youth. The fund source for this project was targeting youth organization involvement to develop future resource management skill individuals. In addition, the education and the interagency and public cooperative management opportunities make a cooperative arrangement with CCNB mutually beneficial for both the CCNB and the NPS. |
