Description: The purpose of this Agreement is to: 1) perform annual Mohave tui chub management duties in the form of monitoring of water quality, and removal of encroaching vegetation; 2) develop a revised long-term monitoring protocol for Mohave tui chub at NAWS China Lake; and 3) characterize the topography and hydrology of the Lark Seep and G1 Seep System, including the design of habitat improvements with minimal maintenance needs, based on the results of the watershed characterization. The goals are to perform annual actions to monitor the health of and improve the habitat for federally-endangered Mohave tui chub; develop a revised monitoring protocol by analyzing prior data and incorporating the results of a panel of scientific experts and stakeholders; and to provide hydrologic mapping and determination of water quality and habitat improvements to reduce future maintenance needs at Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake.
