The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is offering this P20 grant to support feasibility studies aimed at building collaborative partnerships in cancer research. This grant is designed to facilitate the creation of alliances between academic or other organizations serving communities with cancer health disparities and NCI-designated Cancer Centers. Its purpose is to support the planning and execution of focused collaborations across cancer-related research, training and career development, and education. The funding will specifically aid in establishing partnership frameworks and conducting pilot projects or programs by investigators at the partnering institutions. A primary goal is to provide investigators from institutions serving communities with health disparities the necessary support to obtain preliminary data, which will enable them to submit competitive grant applications for future funding from NIH/NCI or other peer-reviewed sources.
