Description: Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) operates Conservation Camps in close proximity to several NPS areas, and has local familiarity with and convenient access to NPS park units. NPS and NDF will work together to select and plan conservation projects. NPS personnel will be substantially involved in the planning and completion of each project by selecting work projects, providing orientation to park resources, offering technical assistance, and presenting safety training. The types of activities to be performed by the Conservation Camps include painting, fence work, campground improvements, trail work, vegetation removal, and other projects related to maintenance, conservation, and fire management.
