This grant from the Nez Perce Tribe aims to enhance the lamprey holding facility to improve the health of Pacific Lamprey adults, increasing their spawning success. The creation of a lamprey database will provide crucial data on migration timing, abundance, and distribution to effectively manage and restore lamprey populations in the Snake River basin. The ultimate goal is the long-term persistence of Pacific Lamprey and support for traditional tribal cultural use throughout their historic range.
