| Additional Information on Eligibility: | This Single Source Award is being awarded in accordance with Department of the Interior Policy 505 DM 2.14 B (1,2) Unsolicited Proposal and Continuation â¿¿ Ducks Unlimited, Inc. because the USFWS currently shares an identical grant agreement with Ducks Unlimited, Inc. for support of the JV Coordinator of the Northern Great Plains Joint Venture (NGPJV) and has done so since March 2008. This new grant would be Phase III of this on-going partnership and it is considered crucial to the success of the NGPJV partnership. |

| Description: | This partnership effort will help develop, assemble, coordinate and assimilate scientific decision support tools and scientific research to help partners prioritize projects and identify best management practices for the conservation of grasslands, wetlands, riparian areas and wildlife populations in the NGPJV;
This partnership effort will help develop, assemble, coordinate and assimilate information that helps identify best management practices that help private landowners and public land managers manage grazing resources in a manner that promotes healthy and diverse grasslands and wetlands; The NGPJV landscape is comprised of a significant number of BLM, USFWS, USFWS and State lands embedded in a matrix of private land and this partnership is uniquely positioned to foster and improve dialogue and relationships between all of these neighboring entities and build trust within local communities; This partnership effort will continue to help build the scientific baseline for grasslands birds and other wildlife in the NGPJV and provide Federal Agencies, State Agencies, conservation organizations, private landowners and local communities the information necessary to ensure that future Endangered Species Act decisions are based on strong science and thorough analysis. |
