The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) intends to launch a grant opportunity to establish an ancient DNA for Modern Genomics (aDMG) program. This NHGRI grant aims to create a crucial, ethical resource of ancient and historical human DNA (aDNA) data. Its purpose is to significantly advance studies concerning contemporary human traits and biology. The selected Coordination Center will be responsible for working with researchers and local communities to identify new and existing aDNA sources, providing essential oversight and coordination across all program components.
