The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) is offering the Catalyze Program to facilitate the transition of basic science discoveries into viable diagnostic and therapeutic candidates ready for human testing. This grant also aims to cultivate translational researchers proficient in product development and entrepreneurship. Specifically, this Catalyze Enabling Technologies and Transformative Platforms initiative supports the rigorous validation of transformative, multi-use platforms and technologies. This grant is for innovations that can significantly accelerate and/or transform areas such as early detection, screening, model development, clinical diagnosis, treatment, control, behavior, prevention, or epidemiology. The proposed technologies must ultimately improve the outlook for heart, lung, blood, and sleep (HLBS)-related diseases and disorders.
