Description: �This Notice is to inform the research community that the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) intends to reissue the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) PA-20-208. The purpose of this NOFO is to provide dissertation awards to �rigorous doctoral candidates for up to two years for the completion of the doctoral dissertation research project. Projects should align with the NIDA Strategic Plan. � This award will facilitate the entry of investigators into the field of substance use/substance use disorder research. Applications are particularly encouraged from those who can contribute to diversifying the research workforce as described in the Notice of NIH’s Interest in Diversity (NOT-OD-20-031).
This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects.�
The NOFO is expected to be published in Spring 2023 with an expected application due date in Fall 2023.
