Additional Information

Agency Name: National Institutes of Health
Description: Purpose. The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) request applications for maintenance and upgrading of the NIH-sponsored GenitoUrinary Development Molecular Anatomy Project (GUDMAP) database and website. Formally known as the Murine Atlas of Genitourinary Development, the GUDMAP database/website is an on-line resource which houses the anatomical and gene expression data generated from GUDMAP molecular atlas research projects. The goals of the GUDMAP database/website for this request for applications are to (1) maintain, annotate, and integrate new data from GUDMAP atlas research as well as non-GUDMAP projects into the database, (2) develop analytical tools to utilize the database, including online bioinformatics and image analysis, (3) improve user interfaces to allow the entire research community easy access to the data as it is generated, and (4) make the GUDMAP database freely available to the research community as an on-line resource.
Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the U01 award mechanism.
Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The NIDDK and NICHD anticipate commitment of up to $600,000 in FY2011 to fund one grant in response to this FOA.
