The revision allows the Program Director/Principal Investigator (PD/PI) to propose an expansion of the specific aims to develop collaborations and approaches that facilitate translational research on target identification, early-stage pharmacological validation of targets and pre-therapeutic leads, lead optimization, and limited pre-clinical development.
